Amidst the daunting challenges that every hardworking American must face to provide their housing, transportation and energy needs there is a segment of society that has been neglected and underserved. The population that I am referring to is the hundreds of thousands of men and women that can proudly call themselves a United States Military Veteran. Serving honorably and selflessly, ensuring security, “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” to every person with dreams of success and grandeur.
Our patriotic protectors of dreams and aspirations have been relegated to living a nightmare, marred by unemployment, homelessness, and health issues upon return from service to civilian life. The American citizenry must take active and viable measures to bring forth solutions, keep promises and honor the service of our veterans. Let us serve those who have served by addressing their quality of life issues that are important to us all:
- Housing
- Employment
- Transportation
- Energy (Natural Resources)
