COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT & OUTREACH (CEO) a 501 c(3) organization has created a community-based fundraising endeavor called the “TRASH to TREASURE INITIATIVE.” The TRASH to TREASURE INITIATIVE is a recycling program that provides businesses an opportunity to turn their everyday trash items consisting of recyclable glass, plastic, and aluminum into a treasure of tax write-offs, community development, and environmental stewardship. The recyclables provided by participating businesses are deemed as a donation to CEO; a Federal and California designated charitable organization. These donations will provide those businesses a tax write-off and CEO funding support to address and enrich the development of the homeless and low-income individuals and families in The Inland Empire.
The following information is an overview of the TRASH to TREASURE INITIATIVE process and its associated benefits:
1) CEO will provide all participating businesses with a refuse receptacle for easy storage and pick-up of their discarded recyclables. Once the receptacle is full, the participating business will call CEO and schedule a designated day and time for pick-up. The filled receptacle will be taken and an empty receptacle with be left.
2) CEO will transport and recycle those materials for new usage.
3) CEO will provide all participating businesses a monthly and year-end donation statement, documenting the funds raised and for future tax accounting purposes.
4) CEO will be utilizing all proceeds from the TRASH to TREASURE INITIATIVE for operations, program development, and community events.
